Wildwood Campground

While on layover in Virginia, we decided to spend the evening at a campground. A search on the GPS found Wildwood Campground, in Monroe, VA, near The Blue Ridge Mountains.

We were welcomed to Wildwood Campground by Terry Farmer, one of the owners.

Terry is on the right.

Terry, who is a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan (Stillers, for you Western PA folks), was very friendly and a great host. Seated behind the wheel of his ATV, he escorted us to our campsite. Later, he invited us to join him and watch the Steelers-Redskins game on a 100" flat screen TV.

The next morning, Pat and I went for a walk through the campground. Wildwood Campground reminded us of the campgrounds we used to frequent in our camping days.

Make sure you take a look at the link to Wildwood Campground (click on the title of this post), and if you're in Monroe, VA, go visit Terry.
